In the workshop, students will block and finish one rabbit fur felt hat. Students will learn the technique of hat blocking, including: manipulating the felt on wooden hat forms, wiring the brim, finishing hats to the appropriate head size, and basic trimming techniques. 

All materials to block and trim your hat are included in the price of the class. In our best attempt to accommodate students' stylistic preferences, we will contact you to choose your felt and trim colors before the class - please note we need 2 weeks to order any materials we don’t have in stock.

Class dates and times are:

• Monday, February 6th, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm & Tuesday, February 7th, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (Lunch will be served on the 7th)

• Friday, March 3rd, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm & Friday, March 10th, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (Lunch will be served on the 10th)

Cost of the workshop: $450.00

Students are welcomed and encouraged to bring their personal sewing machine to learn the process of hat finishing on a machine they are familiar and comfortable working on (so you can continue on your hat-making journey from home). This class is designed for more advanced sewers, skilled hand and machine sewing is required.
