We are thrilled to be hosting a Trunk Show for our friends at Hortensia Handmade as they launch their new collection of hand-knit alpaca sweaters! These sweaters are made from the same deliciously soft and responsibly harvested alpaca as the hats and scarves we have been carrying for years, and they are perfect for the mild winters of SoCal. In addition to the sweaters we will have their full line of knits for both women & men on hand including hats, scarves, hand warmers, leg warmers and hoods. We are the only stop for this event in Southern California so this is a great opportunity to find a special piece for your aprés ski wardrobe that no one else will have and everyone will covet! All orders placed at the trunk show will be delivered within 6 weeks so they are a perfect, cozy gift option for the holidays.

Why I (Jill) love this brand: Michelle (the owner and designer) of Hortensia Handmade and I have known each other for over 10 years, since we worked together in NYC as founding member's of the Milliners Guild. The entire Hortensia Handmade line is hand-knitted in Peru by a women's collective which is overseen by Michelle's Mom, it's truly a family affair. They started their first year with one style of hat and an idea for a sustainable, hand-crafted product and they have stayed true to that ideal. They make a fabulous product, the quality and workmanship is of the highest level. Plus, Alpaca is hypo-allergenic, incredibly light weight, as soft as cashmere and harvested sustainably - that's a product that feels good inside and out!
